At Montanha we celebrate up and coming original live music and DJ´s of various genres and styles, from solo songwriters to live electronica, indie bands and experimental rock and punk. Our eclectic line up aims to break down boundaries bringing together a complete celebration of music.
MUSICA
Montanha emanates artistic expression in its essence, you´ll discover performance art, installations and visual work throughout your experience, our unique location will feel like a living piece of artwork, a painting being painted.
POESIA
We love poetry and value providing a held space on the Montanha stage for sharing poetry and spoken word at all our events, our line up showcases a selection of intimate and expressive writers.
CULTURA
Montanha brings something fresh, unique and exciting to the raw and wild landscape of central Portugal, an event accessible to everyone in our local community and beyond. Evolution in diverse and open minded cultural celebration.
COLETIVO MONTANHA
We are the Montanha collective, a group of seven people interested in promoting music, art, poetry and other forms of free expression.
Based in Penamacor since 2021, we regularly organise various events and intimate get togethers. We welcome musicians, poets and creative souls to help construct an inclusive and alternative cultural life.
In the beginning of June 2026 with the collaboration of the Penamacor câmara, we will launch our Montanha festival experience. Presenting musicians, DJ´s and poets in diverse styles and from various nationalities. A space for debate, installations, food, art, group workshops and much more.
In an informal and vibrant environment following our mission: to create and facilitate a welcoming environment for moving experiences in our community.
